Treatment Options

  • Each of the following treatment options will help men with Low T achieve healthy levels of hormone replacement. MDforMen will help you decide if testosterone replacement therapy is right for you, and which treatment is appropriate.

  • Testosterone gels and solutions are applied daily. The testosterone in the gel or solution is absorbed into the body through the skin.

  • Patches allow testosterone to be absorbed by the skin. Patches are applied daily.

  • Testosterone injections, usually in the upper buttock, are typically given every 1-2 weeks by your doctor.

     

  • Pellets are surgically implanted under the skin near the hip by a doctor during a surgical procedure.

  • This tablet is applied to the gum, allowing testosterone to be absorbed over a 12-hour period. They are taken twice daily.

Getting your Low T levels back to normal

If you have Low T symptoms and tests have shown you have a low testosterone level, MDforMen may suggest treatment. The following Low T treatment options are approved by the FDA:

Patches
Patches allow testosterone to be absorbed by the skin, and are applied daily.

Gels and Solutions
Testosterone gels and solutions are applied daily. The testosterone in the gel or solution is absorbed directly into the body through the skin.

Pellets
Pellets are surgically inserted under the skin near the hip by a doctor.

Injections
Testosterone injections, usually in the upper buttock, are given every 1-2 weeks by your doctor.

Buccal Tablet
The Buccal tablet is applied to the inside of the gum, where testosterone is absorbed over a 12-hour period. Buccal tablets are taken twice daily.
